P2P

Stands for "peer-to-peer." A peer-to-peer architecture allows hardware or software to function on a network without the need for central servers – which allows a cost-effective way for home computer networks to each other. Popular examples of this include music download sites such as KaZaa and Napster. It is also used for users to connect with each other to share common interests and information.
