The Problem: Not doing it right first time

International Mouldings is a leading manufacturer of timber mouldings. They decided their business had grown to a point where they would benefit from installing a file server. Lack of automation of back office tasks and administration was a nightmare and was becoming costly to effectively manage. The planned migration of the business into retail distribution could not be performed without an effective network in place to streamline business processes.

Obtaining three quotes (and ensuring apples were being compared with apples) became the responsibility of the company’s financial controller. IT Networks were one of three companies asked to provide a proposal for a solution. Deciding not to engage IT Networks and go for the cheapest quote became the financial controller’s worst nightmare. An insignificant difference in pricing between IT Networks and the successful candidate caused the company significant loss of revenue and down time, due to the unmanaged and unprofessional approach towards the network installation.

The Solution:

IT Networks were called in to “CLEAN UP THE MESS” created by the previous company and get things working they way they should be.

The Result:

Almost 2 years later now, the network installed has allowed this manufacturer to effectively manage a push into retail distribution, in addition to running its previous manufacturing business. Time savings and increased productivity have been achieved through the network supporting more efficient systems.

What the client says:

"IT Networks offers more personalised service than larger IT companies I have dealt with where you get a different technician every time. Although I have engaged IT Networks at various companies over the past 8 or 9 years, we tried to do our networking a bit cheaper this time around – and that only ended in tears! At the end of the day, we didn’t save any money because the job wasn’t done properly. We should have engaged the right guys the first time.

We are on a monthly proactive maintenance plan. It allows us to store up any jobs that we need doing and have the guys do everything at once on their monthly maintenance visit. Best of all, the plan stops the problems before they happen, which is why we’ve had no downtime in the last couple of years.
